Yamaha DPX-830

Finally a Yammie DLP Projector With a Blue Collar Price Tag

Yamaha was active at the 2006, CES (Consumer Electronics Show), last January, in Las Vegas. Yamaha demonstrated the most affordable projector it has available on the market: the DPX-830, which will retail at $4200. On average, you’ll pay no less than twice that price for the average projector from Yamaha’s line.

Recent reviews of this new projector have been extremely positive. The reason for this is that the projector produces large picture quality, using the incredible video processing performance of Texas Instrument’s DarkChipII DLP, while being economically priced. A native resolution of 720P or 1280x764 pixels, this little DLP projector is capable of a crystal clear 4000:1 contrast ratio with a sunny 1000 ANSI lumens.

Furthermore, Yamaha added its new six segment color wheel, which includes the trademarked Brilliant Color Mode feature and customized optical design. This powerful display combination will deliver vivid mid-tones for an image that will rival any projector in its category As well, further video enhancements will be provided by a new 10 bit digital processor design that will reduce jaggedness around edges visible in other display devices. This extra layer of video processing is like anti-aliasing processing for your projector.
