LCos TV
LCos is a new variant of LCD rear projection display technology that uses elements of both DLP and LDC.LCoS stands for Liquid Crystal on Silicone and refers to the heart of the LCoS technology, a silicone chip coated in liquid crystal. Electronic circuits on the chip open or close the liquid crystal on the chip to expose a reflective surface. These reflective surfaces turn on or off to create the pixels in the display through a series of lenses.
LCoS display technology has great potential since, because of its size, the LCoS chip is the smallest display made. LCoS has found applications on microdisplays found on wearable computers, eyepieces or heads-up displays.
