Harmon Kardon Receivers
Harmon Kardon is one of the old school audiophile brands that have been around for decades, surviving changes in the audio soundscape. The familiar old silver-faced two-channel HK integrated amplifiers smile upon us from high-fidelity history like a favorite uncle.
Today, Harmon Kardon's audiophile stock has been renewed with a new line of home theater receivers that will impress the most discerning tastes. Harmon Kardon tends to cost more but if you're prepared to enter into kilobuck territory for a high-quality home theater receiver you can't do much better than Harmon Kardon.

Price Points
Lowest-end Harmon Kardon receiver is the AVR 130, which retails at $449 for a five-channel, 45-watt receiver. It offers bare bones for features but will likely sound sweeter than some receivers twice its price.
The AVR 630 and AVR 7200, at $1299 and $1999 respectively, are where HK really shows what it's engineered to do. If you're looking in this price category, these models deserve to be auditioned. It's good to see HK is back!
