TV Calibration
There are a number of simple things you can do to maximize the image quality on your new HDTV.
Controlling lighting in your viewing room is the first step in enhancing your picture and sometimes presents the biggest challenge. If you have large windows it can be difficult to block out daylight. Excess lighting will cause glare and blot out image details. If your home theater system is destined to reside in a room that gets lots of daylight, you'll learn all too well that you get the best images at night.
Use thick curtains and blinds to create the darkest conditions possible, allowing you to control exactly how much lighting you use to view movies. Front projectors are more susceptible to room lighting. If control over lighting is going to present a problem, a front projector should be avoided.
